History

The DBX, launched in 2020 and built at a new factory in St Athan, Wales, was Aston Martin's first-ever SUV — a high-riding luxury crossover on a bespoke bonded-aluminium platform, powered by a Mercedes-AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8.

Pitched against the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus, the DBX broadened Aston Martin's market enormously and quickly became its best-selling model. The hotter DBX707, with around 707 PS, arrived in 2022 as one of the most powerful SUVs on sale.
