Arash Farboud GTS History

Shown as a concept at Autosport International in 2003 and launched at the British Motor Show in London in 2004, the Farboud GTS was an evolution of the earlier GT. Like its predecessor it used a 2.8-litre twin-turbo Audi V6 producing 620 bhp, housed in a carbon-fibre composite body that had been through wind-tunnel testing at MIRA.

Three prototype examples were completed before the company's direction was disrupted in 2005 when sales representative Chris Marsh (son of Marcos Engineering co-founder) licensed the GTS design, substituted a Ford V6 in place of the Audi unit, and renamed the resulting car the Farbio. After a dispute Marsh's venture became Farbio Sports Cars and was subsequently acquired by Ginetta. Arash Farboud retained the original company, rebranding it Arash Motor Company in 2006.
