Arash Farboud GT History
History
The Farboud GT was the first car produced by Farboud Limited (the forerunner to Arash Motor Company), unveiled at the Autosport International show in Birmingham in January 2002. Developed over the preceding years by founder Arash Farboud, it was a purpose-built mid-engine supercar with a carbon-composite body and a 2.8-litre Audi V6 twin-turbocharged engine producing a claimed 620 bhp.
Only one example was built; the GT served primarily as a proof-of-concept for the founder's ambitions and established the company's house style of extreme low-slung proportions. The design fed directly into the follow-on Farboud GTS concept.
