Aixam Minauto History
History
The Minauto range arrived in 2017 as part of Aixam's strategy to address the entry end of the quadricycle market more explicitly. Offered in Access (base), GT (mid), and Cross (raised, rugged-styled) variants, the Minauto shared running gear with the broader Aixam family — Kubota diesel or electric motor, governed to 45 km/h — but featured a more affordable price structure than the Emotion-range City and Coupé models.
The Minauto Cross introduced a slightly raised ride height and crossover cladding to the entry tier, echoing the Crossline formula on a shorter, simpler body. The range ran through 2026 when Aixam replaced it with the new Easy series — a successor with a redesigned front end and an updated Kubota diesel compliant with Euro 5+ emissions standards, plus an electric variant.
