History

Unlike the Lykan and Fenyr halo cars, the Ghiath was commissioned directly by the Dubai Police as a purpose-built patrol vehicle, positioning W Motors as a supplier of high-technology security vehicles alongside its supercar identity. The first Ghiath, delivered in 2018, was built on a Chevrolet Tahoe platform and fitted with a roof-mounted facial-recognition camera, automatic number-plate readers, rear suicide doors designed to enable apprehension without stopping, and a heavily carbon-fiber-trimmed interior dominated by multiple touchscreens. Nudge bars front and rear distinguished it from the show-car police Lamborghinis and Ferraris in the same Dubai fleet.

A second-generation variant, the Ghiath Smart Patrol, was revealed in 2022 on the larger Nissan Patrol platform. W Motors continued to develop the Ghiath line as a broader security-vehicle business, with a SWAT edition also announced for Dubai Police use. The Ghiath is not offered to private buyers and is produced in limited quantities for government clients.
