Overview

For 2016, the U.S. Golf R added a six-speed manual alongside the six-speed DSG. Volkswagen's December 11, 2015 factory guide lists the four-door R and R with DCC and Navigation with both gearboxes. Both use a 292-hp, 280-lb-ft 2.0 TSI and 4Motion all-wheel drive; the upper trim adds four-mode adaptive suspension, 19-inch wheels and navigation. The documented inventory combines these four R configurations with the existing base Golf TSI S manual; it is not a complete Golf-family roster.
