Vignale Eveline History

The Eveline debuted at the 1967 Turin Motor Show on the Fiat 124 saloon's chassis and running gear, designed by Virginio Vairo. The body referenced contemporary Grand Touring fashion: a bold front elevation reminiscent of the Jensen Interceptor and a rear with Maserati Mexico overtones.

A Greek-Cypriot distributor held UK distribution rights and ordered the majority of the production run in right-hand drive, making the Eveline an unusual Italian car that sold primarily in Britain. Both the 1,197 cc and 1,438 cc Fiat four-cylinder engines were offered. Total production reached approximately 400 units across the 1967–1969 run.
