Vector Avtech WX-3 History

The Avtech WX-3 was Vector's intended successor to the W8. Wiegert displayed the WX-3 coupe at the 1992 Geneva Motor Show, followed by an AWX-3 roadster in 1993, each built as a single prototype. The cars showcased a more evolved wedge shape and were planned around uprated twin-turbo power.

The WX-3 never reached production under Wiegert: Vector's receivership and the Megatech takeover intervened. Its design influence carried forward instead into the Megatech-era M12, which was developed as a modernized derivative of the AWX-3 theme. The surviving WX-3 prototypes have become prized collector pieces at major auctions.
