Toyota Tercel History
History
Produced globally from 1978, the Tercel served as Toyota's smallest, cheapest US car across five generations.
Frugal and simple, it anchored the bottom of the lineup until the Echo replaced it for 2000. The Tercel reached the US for the 1980 model year (initially as the Corolla Tercel).
