History
The Tacoma launched for 1995, replacing the long-running compact 'Toyota Pickup', and became the dominant mid-size truck in the US on the strength of legendary durability and resale value.
Across four generations it has spawned the off-road TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro and the street-performance X-Runner; the latest generation adds a hybrid i-FORCE MAX powertrain.
