Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso History

The Berlinetta Lusso — a name deliberately evoking Ferrari's own 1962 250 GT Lusso — was unveiled by Touring Superleggera in 2015 as a bespoke coupe built on the Ferrari F12berlinetta platform. It used the F12's 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 and six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, producing over 730 hp, wrapped in a new two-door 2+2 body combining hand-beaten aluminium panels with carbon-fibre.

Production was strictly limited to five units. The Berlinetta Lusso represented Touring's attempt to update the grand-tourer formula — long hood, tapered tail, a cabin integrated into the body rather than bolted above it — in a thoroughly modern idiom. Each car was bespoke in specification and required months of hand labour to complete.
