History
Introduced in 2013, the V8 Coupé offered the V8 Spider's mechanical package — GM Kappa platform, Chevrolet LS3 V8, and Christopher Reitz's design language — in a closed hardtop body. The aerodynamic coupe shape raised the claimed top speed to 300 km/h (186 mph) compared with the open Spider's 295 km/h.
Like all Tauro models it was built entirely to order in very small numbers in Valladolid. The Coupé expanded the range to buyers who preferred a fixed roof while retaining the bespoke, hand-assembled character that differentiated Tauro from larger low-volume manufacturers.
