History

The Verona was the US name for the Daewoo Magnus, a mid-size sedan notable for its transversely-mounted 2.5-liter inline-six developed with Porsche engineering input. Like the Forenza, it entered the US for 2004 through the GM-Suzuki-Daewoo arrangement.

Three years of modest sales were enough; the Verona was discontinued after 2006. It is remembered primarily as a footnote in Suzuki's US history and as a rare example of a transversely-mounted inline-six in a front-drive sedan.
