Suzuki SX4 History
History
The SX4 was co-developed with Fiat (sold as the Fiat Sedici in Europe) and debuted at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, arriving in the US as a 2007 model. The 5-door hatchback 'Crossover' version featured standard all-wheel drive with a 2.0-liter 143-hp four-cylinder — continuing Suzuki's budget-AWD niche.
A sedan variant ('SX4 Sport') was added for 2008, replacing the Aerio sedan. The SX4 continued in the US through the 2013 model year — one of the final Suzukis sold in America before the brand's Chapter 11 filing ended its US automotive operations.
