Suzuki Forenza History

The Forenza was a rebadged Daewoo Lacetti (Chevrolet Optra in Canada), introduced in the US for 2004 as part of a GM-Suzuki arrangement to give Suzuki more product after Daewoo's North American collapse. It was produced in South Korea and offered as a sedan and a wagon.

Despite a low price, the Forenza was regarded as an uninspiring product and a liability to Suzuki's brand. It was discontinued after the 2008 model year when the Suzuki-branded Daewoo models were quietly phased out ahead of the brand's eventual US exit.
