History
The Silver Seraph replaced the long-running Silver Spirit/Spur in 1998 with all-new bodywork and, significantly, a BMW-sourced 5.4-litre V12 — the first twelve-cylinder Rolls-Royce since the pre-war Phantom III. A long-wheelbase version was badged Park Ward.
It was the final Rolls-Royce built at the historic Crewe factory: when production ended in 2002, BMW's licence to the Rolls-Royce name took effect, and from 2003 the marque moved to a new Goodwood plant under Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Around 1,570 Seraphs were built.
