Rolls-Royce Corniche History

The Corniche was the two-door development of the Silver Shadow — both a fixed-head coupe (1971–1980) and a convertible (1971–1995) — hand-finished at Mulliner Park Ward and named for the cliff-edge coastal roads of the French Riviera. About 6,823 of the original cars were built.

The convertible far outlived the coupe, soldiering on into the mid-1990s as one of the most exclusive open Rolls-Royces. A separate, unrelated Corniche was revived under BMW-era ownership for 2000–2002 as a convertible; only a few hundred of that final series were made.
