Rolls-Royce Camargue History

The Camargue was a two-door luxury coupe styled by Paolo Martin at Pininfarina — the first post-war production Rolls-Royce not designed in-house — on Silver Shadow underpinnings. Its sharp, controversial wedge shape and lavish equipment (including a sophisticated split-level climate-control system) made it the marque's flagship.

At its 1975 launch it was the most expensive production car in the world. It remained rare and costly throughout its run; only 531 were built between 1975 and 1986.
