Roewe Marvel X History

The Roewe Marvel X was the production version of the Vision E concept that debuted at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. Launched in China in 2018, it was positioned above the RX5 as a premium battery-electric crossover, offered in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations and powered by a 52.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

The Marvel X was a significant early product for SAIC in the pure-electric space. Production ran until 2021, after which the model was rebranded as the Rising Marvel R under SAIC's premium Rising Auto sub-brand, and the MG-badged export version reached European markets as the MG Marvel R.
