History
Launched in China in August 2023 and priced from 125,800 yuan (approximately US$17,300), the Roewe D7 is a mid-size sedan offered in two powertrain variants with visually distinct front fascias: a battery-electric version (D7 EV, with a choice of 59.2 kWh or 68.5 kWh batteries delivering up to 610 km CLTC range) and a plug-in hybrid (D7 DMH, combining a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor for up to 1,250 km of combined range on WLTC figures).
The D7 DMH set a Guinness World Record in October 2024 for the longest journey by a plug-in hybrid vehicle, underscoring SAIC's ambition for the nameplate. The car's minimalist interior pairs two 12.3-inch screens in a clean layout, and its 4,890 mm length and 2,810 mm wheelbase give it a roomy, modern presence in China's competitive new-energy sedan market.
