History
The Silhouette launched for 1990 as Oldsmobile's version of GM's minivans — first the wedge-nosed plastic-bodied 'dustbuster' APV vans, later the more conventional U-body vans — pitched as the luxury choice in the segment.
It earned lasting pop-culture recognition when the 1995 film Get Shorty dubbed it 'the Cadillac of minivans.' The Silhouette continued through 2004 as the brand was wound down.
