Noble M400 History

The M400 was the most extreme version of the M12, sold from 2004 as a focused, track-oriented coupe. Its name reflected its goal of roughly 400 bhp per tonne: a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 was tuned to around 425 bhp in a car still weighing little more than a tonne.

Lighter and more aggressively set up than the standard M12, the M400 could reach 60 mph in around three seconds and generated well over 1G of lateral grip, making it ferociously quick on a circuit. It was built in small numbers and is regarded as the high-water mark of Noble's M12 family before the company moved on to the cleaner-sheet M15 and M600.
