Nash Statesman History

The Statesman arrived for 1950 as the renamed Nash 600, sitting between the compact Rambler and the senior Ambassador. Like the 600 before it, it used Nash's unitized construction and the streamlined Airflyte styling of the early-1950s range.

A 1952 redesign brought the Pinin Farina-influenced 'envelope body' with enclosed wheels shared with the Ambassador. Nash discontinued the mid-tier Statesman after the 1956 model year, consolidating its remaining full-size cars under the Ambassador name.
