The W140 600 SEL / S 600 introduced the V12 to the S-Class — a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated M120.
2000–2005 (W220, US)
The W220 S 600 moved to a 5.5-liter bi-turbo V12, dramatically increasing torque.
2006–2020
The W221 and W222 continued the bi-turbo V12 S 600 as the smooth, ultra-luxury flagship before the V12 was discontinued.
