The 2005 model year

Overview

The 2005 U.S. W220 lineup retained both drivetrains for the S 430 and S 500, the S 55 AMG, and the S 600, then added the 604-hp S 65 AMG early in 2005. Mercedes-Benz USA's own guides distinguish the S 65 as a separate twin-turbo V12 model rather than an appearance package.
