Marmon Model 32 History

Introduced in 1909, the Model 32 established Marmon as a maker of reliable, fast, well-built upscale cars and became the most important Marmon of the marque's early years. It was the platform from which the company developed its famous Wasp racer.

The Model 32's competition derivative, the Wasp, won the inaugural Indianapolis 500 in 1911 in the hands of Marmon engineer Ray Harroun — a victory that put the Indianapolis firm on the national map and tied its identity to the Speedway for decades to come.
