History

The Evora (2009–2021) was a larger, more usable Lotus — the marque's only 2+2 of its era — built to broaden the range above the stripped-back Elise and Exige while keeping the bonded-aluminium-chassis lightweight ethos.

It used a mid-mounted 3.5-litre Toyota 2GR-FE V6, naturally aspirated at first and later supercharged in the Evora S, 400, GT430, and GT410 models, the hottest making 430 hp. Around 6,100 were built before it ended in 2021, replaced — like the Elise and Exige — by the Emira.
