Lotus Evija History
History
The Evija is Lotus's electric hypercar and its statement of intent for the Geely era: a carbon-tubbed, butterfly-doored two-seater with four electric motors producing roughly 2,000 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful production cars ever conceived.
Production is capped at 130 cars. Unveiled in 2019 and repeatedly delayed, the first customer car was delivered in 2023 (Jenson Button taking an early example). It serves as the technological halo above the rest of the modern, increasingly electric Lotus range.
