History

The Emira (2022–present) replaced the Elise, Exige, and Evora in one stroke as Lotus's mid-engine combustion sports car, marking the start of the Geely-backed modern era. It was originally announced as the company's final purely internal-combustion model.

It offers two powertrains: the supercharged 3.5-litre Toyota V6 carried over (around 400 hp) and a 2.0-litre turbocharged four sourced from Mercedes-AMG. Built at Hethel, it pairs traditional Lotus handling with a more finished, better-equipped cabin than its stripped-back predecessors.
