History
The Commander (XK, 2006–2010) was Jeep's three-row mid-size SUV, sharing its platform with the WK Grand Cherokee but wearing upright, boxy, retro-flavored styling with stadium-style seating.
Roomier than the Grand Cherokee inside but heavier and thirstier, it sold modestly and was discontinued after 2010. (The Commander name later returned on an unrelated overseas model.)
