Jeep Comanche History
History
The Comanche (MJ, 1986–1992) was a compact pickup based on the unibody XJ Cherokee, sharing its front structure and the rugged 4.0-liter inline-six while adding a separate pickup bed in two lengths.
It competed with compact pickups of the era and offered both two- and four-wheel drive, but sold in relatively small numbers and was discontinued after 1992, making clean survivors a sought-after collectible today.
