History
Launched for Honda's 50th anniversary in 1999, the S2000 was a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive roadster with one of the highest-revving production engines ever — the 2.0-liter F20C spinning to 9,000 rpm.
A larger 2.2-liter F22C1 followed for the US (AP2), and production ran through 2009; the S2000 is Honda-badged worldwide, never an Acura.
