History
The CR-V reached the US for 1997 as one of the first car-based compact crossovers, built on the Civic platform, and grew into a perennial best-seller.
Across six generations it added a hybrid (2020) and, in the sixth generation, a plug-in hybrid, remaining one of America's top-selling SUVs.
