Hino Dutro History
History
Introduced in 1999, the Hino Dutro is a light-duty cab-over truck sharing its platform with the Toyota Dyna and Toyota Toyoace. In export markets it is badged as the Hino 300 Series; Australia adopted that name officially in 2007.
A second-generation Dutro launched in 2011 with major mechanical and cab updates. Hybrid versions have been available for urban delivery use, consistent with Hino's early investment in hybrid-drive technology (the company launched the world's first commercially available hybrid transit bus in 1991).
