Hillman Husky History
History
The Husky began in 1954 as a small, short-wheelbase estate/van built on a shortened Minx floorpan — a practical, utilitarian load-carrier sold as the economical workhorse of the Hillman range. This original Minx-based Husky ran through 1965 across two main series.
After a short gap the name returned in 1967 on a very different car: an estate version of the rear-engined Hillman Imp, built at Linwood. This Imp-based Husky continued until 1970, after which the name was dropped.
