The 1995 model year
Overview
Ford expanded the 1995 Bronco to four models: XL, XLT, new XLT Sport, and Eddie Bauer. All used standard 5.0-liter EFI V8 power with an optional higher-output 5.8-liter EFI V8; a five-speed manual remained the base transmission outside Eddie Bauer, which paired its 5.0 with the electronic four-speed automatic.

Year over year
What changed
- XLT Sport joined as a fourth factory model with monochrome treatment and cab steps.
- Eddie Bauer gained body-color cab steps and a turbo-style front bumper.
- Four-wheel ABS and the driver-side air bag continued as standard equipment.
Worth knowing
Notable
- Ford explicitly calls XLT Sport a new model, distinct from the later 1996 appearance package treatment.
- The brochure gives the automatic 5.0 a lower 195-hp rating than the manual's 205 hp.
Living with it
Reliability & ownership notes
- Verify XLT Sport through its factory equipment and paint treatment rather than appearance parts alone.
- Confirm engine/transmission codes and inspect four-wheel ABS, E4OD, front hubs, tailgate glass, roof seals, and corrosion.
