Edsel Roundup History

The Roundup was the 2-door member of Edsel's 1958 station-wagon trio, sharing the Ford-based 116-inch-wheelbase wagon body with the Villager and Bermuda. Two-door station wagons were already a declining body style by the late 1950s as families gravitated toward the more practical four-door format, which put the Roundup in a doubly difficult position — a niche configuration on a struggling brand.

It was offered for 1958 only. When Ford reduced the Edsel wagon range for 1959, the Roundup was dropped alongside the Bermuda, leaving the Villager as the sole surviving wagon. The Roundup's one-year run and low sales volume make it the scarcest of all Edsel configurations.
