History

The Datsun 610, known in Japan as the Bluebird U, arrived in North America for the 1973 model year as the successor to the celebrated 510. It was larger and more refined, trading some of the 510's driver-oriented sharpness for greater comfort and interior room.

The 610 was sold through the 1977 model year before being replaced by the 710 (Violet) and later the 810 in the US market.
