History

The 200 replaced the Sebring for 2011. Its first generation (2011–2014) was a heavily restyled, re-engineered version of the third-generation Sebring, offered as a sedan and (first generation only) a convertible.

The second generation, launched for 2015 on FCA's Fiat-derived 'CUSW' compact-wide platform, was a sleek sedan-only car praised for its styling but hampered by packaging compromises in a fast-shrinking segment.

With buyers moving to SUVs and crossovers, Chrysler ended 200 production in 2017, leaving the brand's lineup centered on the 300 and its minivans.
