Cadillac CT5 History
History
The CT5 launched for 2020 on GM's Alpha platform as Cadillac's mid-size rear-wheel-drive sport sedan, replacing the larger CTS within the brand's 'CT' alphanumeric naming and slotting above the compact CT4.
Its performance flagship, the CT5-V Blackwing, arrived for 2022 with a hand-built supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 making 668 horsepower — offered with a six-speed manual — and is the most powerful Cadillac production car ever, the spiritual successor to the CTS-V.
