History

Sold for 1996–2002, the Z3 was the first BMW manufactured solely outside Germany, built at Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina, and was launched alongside its appearance in the 1995 Bond film GoldenEye.

Offered as a roadster and a distinctive 'clownshoe' coupe, with high-performance M Roadster and M Coupe versions from 1997.
