The original 6 Series (E24, 1976–1989) was a sleek 'shark-nose' grand-touring coupe, including the legendary M635CSi / M6.
After a long pause the name returned as the E63/E64 (2003–2010) and the F12/F13/F06 (2011–2018), the latter including a four-door Gran Coupe, before the 8 Series took over the flagship-coupe role.
