History

The XB7 launched for the 2021 model year as Alpina's first-ever SUV, based on the BMW X7 G07 and assembled at BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina, facility. It carries a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing around 612 PS with xDrive all-wheel drive, making it among the quickest three-row SUVs available, while retaining Alpina's signature ride refinement and bespoke interior treatment.

Demand has massively outstripped supply: the model sold out in each of its first five model years, with the 2023 allocation reportedly selling out in 12 days. A farewell limited edition — the XB7 Manufaktur — capped at 120 units for the US and Canada was announced for 2027 production, signalling a generational transition rather than an outright end to the nameplate.
