Volvo EX90 History

The EX90 was unveiled in Stockholm in November 2022 as the all-electric spiritual successor to the XC90, built on the new SPA2 platform. US-market production takes place at Volvo's plant in Ridgeville, South Carolina. Customer deliveries began in the latter half of 2024.

It offers twin-motor AWD, seven-seat capacity, and a suite of active safety and driver-assistance technologies including a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor. Volvo has positioned the EX90 as the definitive expression of the brand's electrification strategy.
