Volvo EX30 History

Revealed on June 7, 2023, the EX30 went on sale as a 2024 model and represents Volvo's entry-point into the electric vehicle market with a small, urban-oriented crossover available in single-motor rear-drive and dual-motor AWD configurations.

The EX30 was designed with sustainability as a primary metric — Volvo claimed it had the lowest carbon footprint of any Volvo in production at launch. Initially built in China, European production began at the Ghent, Belgium plant in 2025.
