Overview
For 2023, Volkswagen of America's Golf range remained performance-only: the front-drive GTI and all-wheel-drive Golf R. The GTI order guide separated S, SE, and Autobahn trims by six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG transmission, while a 40th Anniversary Edition marked four decades since the GTI reached the United States. Golf R buyers likewise had manual and DSG choices, plus a North American 20th Anniversary Edition.
