The C30 was the last chassis designed by Gabriel Voisin, built in very small numbers as Avions Voisin wound toward closure in 1938–1939. With the company's finances exhausted and the European political situation deteriorating, production effectively ceased before the outbreak of World War II.
The C30 S Coupé, offered at the 1939 Paris Salon, was the final car to bear Voisin's name in the pre-war era. Its appearance — coachbuilt, angular, and unmistakably French — closed a chapter on one of the most technically and aesthetically singular automobile makers of the twentieth century. Gabriel Voisin himself survived until 1973, outliving his marque by more than three decades.
