The Vandenbrink Shooting Brake was first presented in 2019 as a one-off commission based on the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti — Ferrari's front-engined, 2+2 grand tourer powered by a naturally aspirated 5.75-litre V12 producing 533 bhp. Vandenbrink's coachbuilders extended the 612's roofline rearward into a sweeping shooting-brake profile, adding a practical glassed-in cargo area while preserving the car's proportions and mechanical specification, including its six-speed F1 automated manual transmission.
Having completed the prototype, Vandenbrink opened the Shooting Brake to a limited production run of 12 cars, each built on bespoke order and personalised to the individual customer. The company positioned the project explicitly for 'visionary and knowledgeable' buyers, and offered unusual customer-specific features — including fittings oriented toward falconry, equestrian sport, and motorsport use — reinforcing the coachbuilding tradition of creating coachwork around the owner's lifestyle rather than a mass-market specification.
