Saturn Relay History

The Relay was Saturn's sole minivan, introduced for the 2005 model year as one of four variants of GM's U-body 'crossover sport van' family — the others being the Chevrolet Uplander, Buick Terraza, and Pontiac Montana SV6. It offered front- or all-wheel drive and seating for seven or eight passengers.

Unlike the S-Series and Ion, the Relay used conventional steel body panels and lacked the brand-specific design language that had made earlier Saturns recognizable. It sold in modest numbers against the established Chrysler, Honda, and Toyota minivans and was dropped after the 2007 model year as Saturn refocused on crossovers.
