The Moskvitch 6 was announced alongside the Moskvitch 5 as an expansion of the revived brand's lineup in 2023, offering a liftback body style to complement the crossover-focused Moskvitch 3. Like the 3, it is built on a JAC Motors platform assembled at the Moscow plant using semi knock-down kit production; it is a rebadged JAC Sehol A5 Plus — the updated 2021 version of the JAC J7 liftback — powered in China by a 1.5-litre turbo four paired with a seven-speed automatic.
